National Bank

The National Bank interface allows you to directly download transactions from the National

Banks computer without having to use Internet Banking. The communications software is

built into the software.

Setup:

To import transactions from the National Bank, you will need to talk to your Business Banking

Manager and sign up for access to the NZA Online Banking Package. If you do not wish to

use this method, you can also import your transactions from a QIF file that can be exported

from Internet Banking.

Option 1 - Download:

Connect to the Internet and click on the “Import” button in the “Process Transactions” screen.

After entering your Login and Password, the system will contact the bank and will download

your transactions directly from the bank and import them into the transaction screen.

Option 2 - QIF Files :

If you elect not to use the automatic download features with the National Bank, you can

download your files from Internet Banking and import them into your system.

(eg. Savings.qif). If you want to keep all previous downloads then include the dates in the

name of the file (eg. Savings 10July-17Jul.qif).

Transactions that have been processed on the current business day will not display their

correct descriptions until the close of business each night. Eg EFTPOS transactions will be

displayed as “EFTPOS” instead of the name of the company you made the purchase from.

For this reason, it is recommended that you do not download transactions for the current

business day and only download transactions from “yesterday” and earlier.
