We've got Adempiere running nicely on our development server.

We've created a list of tweaks and gotcha's along the way, postgres did a bit of fighting, but our super skilled log reader Antonio was able to sort and solve each issue.

The fat java client is much more pleasant to use than trying to do the same by VNC to a VMWare instance.  It just flows along much better.

Going back and reading the toolbar help is also well worthwhile, makes it a lot easier to figure out.  Like most computer people, I did the hack about in the product first. But with a sophisticated product like this, a little manual reading is helpful. The manual is the Compiere user manual, purchased from the Compiere main site.  It's a good 900 page starter, but could do with some diagrams.

So now we we're working on the NZisation of it , to make it more approachable and familiar.
